- Prepare 250 gms of Elephant Yam.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Lemon juice.
- You need 1 tablespoon of Cooking oil.
- You need 2 of dry red chillies.
- It's Few of Curry leaves.
- It's 1 teaspoon of Chat masala.
- It's 1/2 teaspoon of Black salt.
- You need as required of Cooking oil to deep fry the yam fingers.

- Take elephant yam, wash it nicely..
- Take 1 part, peel nicely and cut into fingers..
- Blanch the yam fingers in boiling water for 3-4 minutes with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Lemon juice help to eliminate any itching stuff from the yam..
- Drain the water keep in a colander for 10 minutes so that excess water drips from the yam..
- Heat sufficient oil to a deep pan and fry the blanched yam in high heat for 4-5 minutes..
- When the fingers become crisp from outside, remove from oil and place to a kitchen towel..
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil to a small tadka pan and temper with dry red chillies and curry leaves..
- Pour the tadka over the yam. Also add in black salt and chat masala..
